WINTER SWIMS

With the latest announcements requiring us to be back in stage 3 restrictions, it was hard to not feel overwhelmed with the task ahead of remote learning for the kids, staying home (which isn't overly hard for us) and wearing a face mask everywhere! So we rose early as usual had breakfast then eased back into the school work and were done by lunch. With a break in the wintery weather we headed to the beach for a quick dip even though it was only 12 degrees and a play in the sand.
As soon as we walked up over the dune i could see the storm clouds rolling in, so we raced down, stripped off and in i went. It was rough and wild as it always is at Levvy's which is always a great distraction to the icy water. With salty hair and sand everywhere i ran back up the beach just as it started pouring with rain. Little Dot's first time getting caught in the rain; how special.
